The Caribbean
Golf Association (CGA) recently announced more changes to the Caribbean
Amateur Golf Championships (CAGC) format. These included
additional team members to the various competitions which should
alleviate some of the pressure
The principal changes are as follows: HOERMAN CUP- Team is now 5 Players with 4 scores to count
each day (Increase from 4 Players)
RAMON BAEZ (Mid-Amateur) - Team of 2 Players playing Four
ball stroke play (better ball).
Seniors and Super Seniors - no change. Team of 2 players
playing four ball stroke play
GEORGE TEALE (Ladies) - no change. Team of 3 players with
2 scores to count each day.
Hoerman Cup and George Teale teams must walk in the championships. If
caddies are available, they will be assigned to players by the
Tournament Committee. If there are no caddies, the host country should
try to provide pull carts. Any player who has a pull cart is encouraged
to bring his own. If none are available, the Committee may permit
motorised carts to be driven by a volunteer to carry clubs for players.
